This database represents a growing collection of transcriptions of names and other
information from a variety of nineteenth-century directories. The directories frequently
have a much larger scope than Halton county, but only the local names have been extracted.
Not every Community has been entered yet. The entries are typically for local
businessmen, but the later directories also include many farm owners.
